This article describes which post data is migrated from Google Currents to Google Spaces when you migrate from Currents to Spaces. For information on which communities are migrated, see Migrate Currents communities to Spaces, and for information on which users are migrated, see Migrate Currents users to Spaces.
Spaces uses inline threads instead of posts. Threads consist of a primary message with an inline thread of replies. For migrated posts, each post becomes a newly created thread, and comments to the post become inline replies. Up to 200 replies per post are migrated. Individual posts in Currents are migrated to threads within Spaces. Replies to the Currents post become replies in the Spaces thread.
Spaces doesn’t allow for comments or threads to be shared across spaces in the same way that reshares work for Currents. Reshared posts are not migrated to Spaces. Organizational, personal, and public posts, or draft posts have no complementary feature in Spaces and are not migrated.
If you have important posts that will not be migrated, create a new space and copy the post content to it. You can also use Google Takeout to Export your organization’s data.
The following table lists Currents posts features and their equivalent features in Spaces to which Currents data is migrated.
