Switch to local billing currency

Applies to editions of Google Workspace and other paid subscriptions in your Google Admin console.

For Essentials billing, switching to the local currency is available for India only.

If you selected U.S. dollars or euros as your billing currency when you set up billing, you can switch to your local currency later based on the local currency support in your country/region.

Customers with a Flexible or Annual Plan (Monthly billing) can change the payment currency option at any time. Customers who are on an Annual plan (Yearly billing) can only change the payment currency option on the day that their subscription renews.

Change from U.S. dollars or euros to local currency

Important: If you switch to your local currency, you can’t go back to using U.S. dollars or euros. If you're on the Annual Plan, you're immediately charged for the remaining balance of your annual commitment.

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenSubscriptions.
  3. Click your subscription.
  4. Under Payment plan, click Change payment currency.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your subscription in your local currency.

After the change

After you change your currency, we cancel your existing subscription and create one with the new currency. Any remaining charges in the previous currency get charged on your current payment method. You’re charged for the new subscription from the day of the change. You can still access the billing history for the previous subscription.
