Change billing currency (India only)
Applies to G Suite, Cloud Identity Premium, and other paid services managed in the Google Admin console.
When you set up billing for a Google service, you select a billing country and currency for your account. The country and currency you select applies to both billing and payments. That is, if you select U.S. dollars, payment will be requested and accepted only in U.S. dollars. In most cases, you can’t change your billing country or currency after first setting it up. However, if your business address is in India, you might be able to switch your currency from U.S. dollars to Indian Rupees.
Change from U.S. dollars to Indian Rupees
Note: You can’t switch back. If you switch to Indian Rupees, you can’t go back to using U.S. dollars.
- From the Admin console dashboard, go to Billing.
- To the left of the relevant subscription, click the Down arrow .
- Next to your currency type, click change.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your subscription in Indian Rupees.
After the change
After you change your currency, we’ll cancel your existing subscription and create a new one with the new currency. Any remaining charges in the older currency get charged on your current payment method. You’re charged for the new subscription from the day of the change. You still have access to the billing history for the older subscription.
