Verify your payment information

Applies to editions of Google Workspace and other paid subscriptions in your Google Admin console.

When you sign up for Google Workspace and set up billing, we may need to verify your identity and ownership of the payment method you used. We might ask you to provide a scanned copy or digital image of:

  • A government-issued photo ID for the account administrator/owner
  • The credit card, debit card, or bank statement associated with your billing account

Your personal information is stored securely in your payment profile and treated in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

Complete verification

If you need to verify your payment information during signup, you'll get a message after you enter your billing information. We'll also send an email to the email address you provided when you signed up. The email comes from noreply-payments@google.com with "Verify your payment method" in the subject line.

You can verify your identity and payment method using either the link in the sign-up flow or in the email. Follow the instructions to upload a photo or copy of the requested documents.

  • Verify during signup—Click the Proceed To Verification button.

  • Verify by email—Click Verify now in the email and sign in using the email you provided when you signed up, for example, admin@solarmora.com.

It's important not to delay submitting your documents because your 14-day free trial continues during the verification period. For example, if it takes 2 days for you to submit your documents, and 2 days for us to review, you’ll have 10 days left in your trial.

After you submit your documents

After you submit your documents, we'll send you a confirmation email when we finish reviewing your information. The email comes from noreply-payments@google.com. When you're successfully approved, you can start using your Google Workspace subscription.

Why do I need to verify my payment method?

We might ask you to verify your payment information because:

  • We noticed unusual activity or transactions.
  • We need more information for legal or regulatory reasons.

How long will it take to review my documents and get approval?

After you submit your documents, verification may take up to 48 hours.

If my payment method was not approved, what should I do?

You can try signing up using a different payment method. Wait until we're done reviewing your documents before you sign up with a different payment method.
