Google Apps is now G Suite. Same service, new name. More about the name change.

Use IMAP or POP clients

In addition to accessing G Suite mail from the Gmail web interface, users can send and receive mail from their favorite desktop client. Depending on the client, they can use either the IMAP or POP mail protocol.

Note: We don't support SSLv3 and RC4 encryption.

Below is a list of clients you can use with G Suite. (You may also be able to use clients that aren't listed here, too.)

To set one of these clients up, see Set up Gmail with Outlook, Apple Mail, or other mail clients.

Windows and Mac mail clients

  • Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013
  • Outlook Express
  • Windows Mail
  • Apple Mail 3, 4, or 5
  • Thunderbird 3.0
Microsoft Outlook users can synchronize the mail, contacts, and calendars with G Suite using G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook.
