Display custom screen saver images or digital signage content for Google Meet hardware

You can display custom images and Appspace or digital signage content when your organization's Google Meet hardware devices are not being used. For example, you can use an image to communicate important announcements to employees or visitors. You can also customize when the screen saver appears if the device is idle. Meet hardware users cannot interact with the screen saver URL. Images are for display only.

Before you begin

  • To display a published Google Slides file as a custom screen saver, in Slides,
    • select Fileand thenShareand thenPublish to the web.
    • Click the Embed tab.
    • Select Start slideshow as soon as the player loads, and Restart the slideshow after the last slide.
    • Click Publish and confirm.
The dialog will show an iframe HTML tag. Copy the src parameter and follow the instructions below.
  • To display custom screen saver content, use a publicly-accessible URL with a domain that allows its site to be embedded in an iframe.
    • Be sure that the content you’re publishing does not have any viewing restrictions or your Meet hardware device will be unable to load the content.
  • Make sure the Meet hardware power-saving settings keep your displays on during working hours so people see the custom screen saver content. For details, see Manage power-saving settings.
  • Use a URL that cycles through different images. A single image can cause a shadow image to burn into the screen over time on certain displays.
