During your participation in the study, we observe the ads you find and some of your activity on advertiser websites, like:
- Any Google ads that you find on YouTube, Google Search, and other Google-operated websites. This includes ads that may be displayed on non-Google websites that use Google ad networks.
- Interactions with those ads, like how long you view and if you click on them.
- Actions you may take on advertiser websites that the advertiser uses to track the success of their advertisements, like when you:
- Visit different pages.
- Add products to the cart.
- Make a purchase.
Important: Your data won’t be used to report on ad campaigns to advertisers or serve you personalized ads. To delete data collected by the study, go to My Activity.
Review your data
To review your data that’s collected from the study, log in and go to My Activity. To request to have all data sent to you, contact the Online Insights Study support team.
Delete your data
To select data that you wish to remove from the study, log in and go to My Activity.
Submit data deletion requests
In My Activity, you can select data that you wish to remove from the study. To request to remove all data or to have it sent to you, contact the Online Insights Study support team. To remove all of your data from this study, you must end your participation and go to Leave the study page.
Pause data collection in Online Insights Study
For devices with the Online Insights Study app or browser extensions installed, like:
- Android phones or tablets
- Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, or Opera browsers
- Connected TV devices:
- Smart TV
- Video Streaming devices
- Gaming consoles
To pause data collection, in the Online Insights Study app, turn off Data Collection.
For other devices, like iOS phones or tablets, Safari, and other browsers, to pause data collection:
- Go to the Online Insights Study website.
- Turn off Data collection for your device.
