[12 March] Sound Search on mobile & tablets
If you’re using the YouTube Music app on mobile or tablets, you can now search for music in a new way: by humming, singing, or playing a song in the background. We began rolling this feature out to users across different devices back in March, but are ramping it to everyone in July!

[3 March] Expanding Ai generated custom playlist art
If you’re a listener anywhere in the world, you can now try out a new feature that creates customized playlist art using generative AI. The guided experience allows you to effortlessly explore from a range of visual themes and options to create one-of-a-kind cover art that expresses the uniqueness of your personal playlists. We announced this feature back in November, and are glad to now expand it to all our listeners around the globe.

[1 March] Filtering non-podcast episodes on search
If you’re searching for a new podcast on search, you’ll no longer see non podcast episodes show up in the Episodes shelf. We noticed that previously, the shelf would show music videos, soundtracks, or other non-podcast content which was confusing for our listeners, so we fixed that!

[11 June] Comments on Samples
If you spend time watching Samples on YouTube Music, you’ll notice that comments are now enabled on them! We hope this update helps you engage more easily with the music community and participate in real-time conversations. You’ll find that the commenting experience on Samples is similar to the VOD experience in YouTube Music. However note that if comments have been disabled on the original music video, they will be disabled on the Sample as well.
Launched to all YouTube Music listeners on mobile & tablet devices.
[24 March] Improvements to comments on mobile
If you use the YouTube Music mobile app on Android or iOS, you’ll notice that we’ve made changes to the comments doc. Now when you open comments, you’ll notice how the player is pushed right to the top and the comment docks right under it. This way, you can access player controls and read comments simultaneously.

Suggestions I hope it's coming soon to YouTube Music:
- Find in the playlist, add a search button in the playlist, for example, I have a playlist with a lot of artists, so with a search button, I can type the artist's name and it shows me all songs of the artist in the playlist.

- Link YouTube Music with Discord just like Spotify and it shows what I’m listening to with my friends.

- Link YouTube Music with Google Maps for iOS users.
- Release notes. Let us know what’s new in the updates.
- The desktop app is essential, that one linked with Google Chrome it’s so annoying.
- Link devices, this idea makes you can control your music with another device.
I use a Desktop or laptop, and with link devices I can change songs or the volume via my phone, also if I'm listening from my PC and then I moved to my phone, it will continue in my phone from where it stops in the PC.
Spotify has this feature, I hope it coming soon to YouTube Music.
- Access to change playlist cover art from photo library not just AI.
- YouTube Music widget in IOS, change it from its shows playlists to it shows what I'm currently listening to. (Like WidgetPod App)

I know you did a lot of things to improve YouTube Music and I hope you continue on that.
Thank you.

We've been asking for this for years. How come you haven't implemented it yet?
I canceled my subscription, I will only return when these two functions are implemented.
It is impossible to handle a large library on YT Music.

I would like though to be able to control the queue from my phone while playing music on my laptop.
Hopefully is not much to ask.
Thank you!
