If your Pixel phone camera has stopped working and is showing up completely black, here are some things you can try:
- Check for physical damage. If your phone has been dropped or damaged in any way, it's possible that the camera has been damaged as well. Inspect the camera lens for any cracks or scratches. If you see any physical damage, you'll need to take your phone to a repair shop.
- Restart your phone. A simple restart can often fix minor software glitches. To restart your phone, hold down the power button until you see the "Power off" menu. Then, tap "Restart".
- Clear the camera app cache and data. This will reset the camera app to its default settings, which may fix the problem. To clear the camera app cache and data, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Camera > Storage & cache > Clear cache and Clear storage.
- Check for updates. Make sure that your phone and the camera app are both up to date. To check for updates, go to Settings > System > System update.
- Try a different camera app. If you're still having problems, try downloading a different camera app from the Google Play Store. This will help you determine if the problem is with the camera app itself or with the hardware. (Snapchat, Instagram or WhatsApp)
- Factory reset your phone. If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, you can try factory resetting your phone. This will erase all of your data, so be sure to back up anything important before you do this. To factory reset your phone, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, you'll need to contact Support at https://support.google.com/pixelphone/gethelp

I notice everyone with this issue had it after the recent update and it affects google pixel 6 phones.
Do you guys need me to come work for you and figure this stuff out? I see so many of these when I do a GOOGLE search, don't tell me you guys can't figure the problem out.
We should have an option to pull logs from these errors. What is this incompetence all about? Conspiracy or legit incompetence?

Because I did and my camera (P8P) stoped working the next morning, restarted the phone, reseted the camera, reinstalled, and only disabling dev options worked.
