Weird high pitched voice on maps and translate

I have done all the necessary tests and I can assure you that it works.
Go to system settings, Accessibility -TalkBack -TalkBack settings -Text-to-speech settings..
Tap on it, you will notice that the voice output speed is at maximum... lower it and everything will return to normal.
another way to achieve this is:
system settings, search for "language" - "general language settings" - "output" - "voice speed".
The problem appeared on Google Maps, on the alarm clock when it says the date and time and on YouTube when searching using the microphone.
Whenever the text-to-speech is updated from Google PlayStore, the problem may recur...at that point do the procedure again.
Google should pay me for this.

To change the voice on the Google Maps app:
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Navigation settings.
- Tap Voice selection.
- Select the language and voice that you want.
Note: If you have changed the voice on your phone's operating system, it may also affect the voice on the Google Maps and Translate apps. To check this, go to Settings > System > Languages & input. Tap the language that you are using and make sure that the voice is set to the one that you want to use.
However, if you still face, I recommend that you factory reset your smartphone i.e Pixel 3a.

Before your factory reset your phone, it is important to back up your data. This includes your photos, videos, music, contacts, and any other important files. You can back up your data to a computer, cloud storage service, or external storage device.
Step 2: Factory reset your phone.

Also, the navigator's voice turns off while in use! Map freezes or does not calibrate the new route or sends me to wrong directions. Google map bacame so unreliable to me. Google people not a ddressing the issue.
@User 5704495677504082354. This is not just a Pixel issue as you say so perhaps leaving your comments as feedback in the Maps app would be best. Open the app > tap profile image top right > report a technical problem.
The concerned team likely never visits the Pixel forum so may not know about the sound issue.

the voice is back to normal if you turn on the mobile connection data and put Google Maps in on-line mode.
it must be a bug.

You can try to change your navigation language by following steps:
1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap your profile picture or initial. Settings.
3. Tap Navigation settings. Voice.
4. Choose a voice and language.
If still the issue persist try to clear data of Google maps and try again or you can contact customer support if it still does exist.

Please head to -
• System settings
• Accessibility
• TalkBack
• TalkBack settings
• Text-to-speech settings
• Tap on it
Then you will notice that the voice output speed is at its maximum lower it and everything should return to normal 🤞
