Bluetooth keeps disconnecting/disabling itself & I have to restart to reconnect my mouse

It's been doing it since I've had it almost a year - the mouse will suddenly stop working and opening bluetooth it will be disconnected or bluetooth will be disabled altogether and I have to turn off the laptop and on again and it will work. I enabled 'newblue' but this didn't seem to fix the problem.

Hi Zain,

What version/channel of Chrome OS are you currently on? I know the team has been working on this particular problem for quite some time now, and the latest news indicates that it's a problem with the Intel-provided firmware in the Bluetooth controller used in the Pixelbook (and other devices).

There are some indications that the reliability is improved in later OS versions (71 and 72 in particular) but I don't know for sure if that will fix it across the board. In the mean time, all I can really recommend is to use the alt + shift + i shortcut to report the failures to the team.

Cheers,
John

Is there any solution available, my father just got a new chromebook from lenovo and he gets the problem daily.
and with his previous chromebook, he was even not able to connect a bluetooth speaker.
Is there any update in coming updates that will fix some issues regarding bluetooth?

I have Chrome OS 79 and it's happening to my Sesh headphones. It is on a HP chromebook and this is absolutely frustrating. Every 3 seconds, it connects and disconnects. How can I stop this?

Apparently when Sesh work, they work well, but they only get an average of three stars because of the large number of bad reviews that are almost all connection-related.

I have a half-dozen pairs of Bluetooth headphones/earphones, including Bose QC35II, a couple of different Advance models, and a couple of Kickstarter/Indiegogo products that all connect reliably, so I suspect a peculiarity in the Sesh's Bluetooth drivers.

Same, same. Very discouraging, and I'm at 79.0.3945.123 on my chromebook.

Same question to you, Peter. Please post particulars; type of device, make, model etc. "It doesn't work" is not something people can work with.

I'm not sure if my issue is completely fixed but I haven't had the problem in at least a couple weeks with my Microsoft Surface Mobile Mouse. 👍
