Chromebook not turning on but is charging.

I was just doing stuff my on my Pixelbook and it just turned itself off, I don’t know why. It can charge and no it didn’t die, it had about 50% battery in it, I have tried turning it back on and charging it but it won’t turn back on. What do I do?

I wonder whether the battery is failing. Does it work while connected to the mains?

This is a method that sometimes works on devices that won't turn on:

Connect the charger to the Chrome OS device.
Hold the power button + Refresh key and remove the power adaptor as they keep holding on to those buttons.
Wait for 1 minute.
Press the power button to test the device.
Note: The power LED should not blink and the device should not turn on.
Connect the power adaptor and monitor the LED colour. The device should try to turn on and the LED should blink or have a solid colour.
