Linking your website to your Merchant Center account allows you to access specific reporting or insights in Merchant Center.
To add a key event source, you can either choose to use Google Analytics or create a new Google tag and use it on your website.
Instructions
How to add Google tag as a key event source
- Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
- Click Settings & tools icon
and select key event setup.
- If you haven’t already enabled the "Auto-tagging" option, you’ll have to do so. Learn more about auto-tagging.
- Select Add key event source.
How to edit a key event source
- Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
- Click Settings & tools icon
and select Key event setup.
- Click the key event source that you wish to edit.
- You can change the “Destination name”, “Attribution model”, and “lookback window”.
How to delete a key event source
- Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
- Click Settings & tools icon
and select Key event setup.
- Click Delete next to the key event source that you wish to delete.
- In the confirmation dialog box, click Delete.
After deletion, the status of the key event source changes to “Archived” and it can be restored in 30 days. If not restored within 30 days, the status will be permanently deleted.
