Business and EDU users:

Onboard as a new user with a personal account

Important: Users who select a personal account when setting up Google Meet for the first time follow these steps to enable legacy calling.

  1. Open the Meet app .
  2. Sign in with your personal Google Account.
    • If your device pre-loads Google Accounts, select the personal account you want to make calls with.
  3. If you want others to reach you through your phone number, enter your phone number and verify.
    • If the number you entered is already associated with a Google Account: It’s automatically verified.
    • If the number you entered isn’t associated with a Google Account: Google Meet texts a code to the number you entered. Carrier text message rates may apply.

  • If you add your phone number in Meet, people who know your phone number can reach you across Google services. Learn how your phone number is used.
