How to allow emails to come through again after unsubscribing via gmail

I unsubscribed to a bunch of emails using gmails unsubscribe feature. One of the emails I unsubscribed to was a load of promotion emails which I didn’t want anymore, little did I know that the same address sends order confirmations and shipping information when I purchase from the website.

Now I do not receive any emails at all from that website regarding my order, even after re subscribing to their mailing list. It can not be solved, I have checked my ‘filters and blocked address’ section in settings which only shows blocked addresses, have checked my spam and bin - nothing.

What a stupid feature to add if you can’t undo it or resubscribe somehow. It seems it internally terminates emails and there’s nothing you can do. Ridiculous

Don’t think there’s anything else to try but all comments appreciated to bring attention.

  1. Click the settings button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. Select "See all settings" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Navigate to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Scroll down and select "Create a new filter".
  5. Add the email address or domain you want to whitelist.
  6. Select "Create filter"
  7. Check the box that reads "Never send it to Spam".
We don't have an explicit way to "re"subscribe to an email since we treat it like spam once the user selects unsubscribe. But the user can whitelist to allow it back into their inbox. Changes usually take up to 24 hours as well if the user follows these steps.

You can't re-subscribe from Gmail.

Did you try to resubscribe from the website again? Otherwise, contact the Sender for any remedial action they may need to perform.

Please also submit feedback regarding this issue to the team by clicking on the "?" support icon in the Gmail web UI or via the Feedback option in the Gmail mobile apps. The team is known to read all feedback submitted to them, although they may not respond back unless they desire additional information related to the topic of your feedback. The purpose of sending Feedback is to give the team a measure of the volume of users been affected by an issue or requesting a particular feature. The larger the volume of users asking for a feature or reporting a bug, the higher priority it assumes.

I did yes but resubscribing to the website won’t do anything, this is because gmail automatically blocks / terminates the email regardless. As far as the site is concerned they are sending the emails to my address correctly, it’s an internal gmail problem which is just ridiculous.

Thanks for your reply, have seen a couple other mentions of this in forums over a year ago so doubt support will do anything to help but will give it a go I guess
