How it works
Price treatments are UI elements found on property listings that highlight discounts, offers, or deals to users. The price treatment UI elements help users identify rate offers, amenities, and benefits streamlined to their hotel search experience. Different treatments may appear over a single hotel property which signal different offers and system conditions being met. We categorize these UI elements based on which system added the treatment. These categories are partner controlled price treatments or system controlled price treatments.
Partner controlled price treatments
Partner controlled price treatments are treatments which can be manually controlled and customized by registered hotel partners. Partner controlled price treatments can be managed in Hotel Center or via contact with Google. The currently active form of partner controlled price treatments is:Private rates
Private rates are prices, benefits, and deals available only to specific users depending on the rules dictated in Hotel Center, click here to learn more how to Manage and update your rate rules. These treatments include member exclusive price rates and benefits which are only visible to users who meet a certain criteria. Learn more about Private rates details and examples
System controlled price treatments
System controlled price treatments are UI treatments which are implemented by the system based on conditional factors being met. These elements are automatically generated and are based on data gathered from various sources, such as location, relative pricing, and other data based on the treatment.
Note: System controlled price treatments cannot be modified manually and automatically change based on existing data. For customized treatments options, please refer to partner controlled price treatments.

Dealness tip
Dealness tips are automatically generated UI elements which highlight a particular hotel if they meet certain criteria. The dealness tip will appear automatically if the system detects that a hotel’s rates offer a significant discount. These may change depending on the specific savings offered and the relative pricing based on location and comparative data. For example, a “great deal” tip will automatically generate if a hotel offers a 25% discount on its prices. Learn more about dealness tips.
