Switched ownership to another account I can no longer access

I set another account as Owner since it's mine from another private provider, thinking I had access to it. This is my personal gmail account and the other one is an institutional account related to the Google Group but not on google's domain. I can't access nor restore access to said account though, even though I own it, use it regularly and manage its domain and the server it's hosted on. It asks me for a password and a phone number I don't recall setting, the last two digits aren't the same as any of the owned numbers in my institution or mine.

How can I contact the support to restore my original ownership of the google group and possibly to remove/restore access to my external mail?

Simply not possible, unfortunately as there is no team at Google to do that.

If you're not able to regain access to the account you transferred ownership to, the group becomes ownerless and there is no process to restore access unfortunately.

Thank you so much for your reply. It is as I feared. You would think that they could build in a failsafe but clearly it’s not their priority.
