How do we export Google Groups emails?

We would like to export all emails messages (or conversations, which is what Groups calls them) from a Google Group. How can we do that?

If an individual within the group is subscribed to each message received by a Google Group, is there a way to filter and export those emails?

Yes, a specific label could be applied to them and thus filter. You can download the emails of a specific tag using Takeout.
