How can we prevent the relentless spam targeting usenet groups?

Reporting as abuse has no effect - it seems that everyone at google is either asleep or doesn't care.

Sorry but this forum is for help between users regarding the use of group accounts in Google Groups. Spam is a problem on the Internet, at all levels, but I'm afraid we can't help you here on how to avoid it in Usenet groups.

I filter on user-agent containing G2 and message-id containing googlegroups, and either mark-as-read or delete, depending.

But the real problem is that GG is the originator and allows it. Only Google can fix it.
