If your Pixel Watch won't connect to your phone, try the troubleshooting steps below.
- Confirm that the Pixel Watch battery is fully charged.
- Watch the Set up Pixel Watch video to confirm that your device is set up correctly.
- Update your Pixel Watch firmware.
- Connect through Bluetooth on your Pixel phone. Your phone must be within 0.5 m (1.6 ft) of your Pixel Watch for Fast Pair to work.
- Turn on location and Wi-Fi.
- Confirm that your location is set up correctly.
- Check if your phone is connected to either a Wi-Fi or mobile network.
Restart your Pixel Watch if it freezes while pairing
- Press and hold the crown for 3 seconds.
- Scroll down and tap Restart.
- Once the watch restarts, wait until the watch is fully on.
- Bring the phone and watch together again, then retry the pairing process.
Factory reset and reconnect
If you've tried the steps above and the Pixel Watch still won't pair with your phone, factory reset your watch to fix the issue.
A factory reset will help resolve multiple issues you may encounter in the Google Pixel watch app, which include:
- Timed-out updates.
- Forgotten PIN or passcode.
- "Something went wrong" error message.
- Frozen on the screen with the "G" logo.
Important: After you reset your watch to factory settings, all apps, settings, and data on your watch are erased.
