News stories on the Google news feed don't open.

During the last week or so I've started to be unable to click the news stories on the feed.

About 20% of them I can but clicking on most of them does nothing.

Why the change? I've updated everything and still no improvement.

A screenshot of something which won't open?? OK then the top few stories won't open. They change colour momentarily as though they're about to load the story. But then nothing. However the last story from BBC loads up. There doesn't seem to be a set cause. And this is a straight forward android device with no ad blockers installed. Something is demonstrably different and I'm unsure as to what it is

An app on your device blocks the rendering. Check firewall of an ad-blocker or a malware;

Is this Google News or Google "discover"?
