A New Look For Google News
Announcement
Hi everyone, Aishwarya here - News Help Community Manager.
I'm thrilled to announce that starting today, you can opt in to the new Google News experience on desktop web (news.google.com). This experience includes:
- A brand-new briefing with top stories, local news, and picks for you
- A new, customizable topics section—just click on Customize to add, remove, and re-order your topics
- A fresh, modern look with more organization
To opt in to this experience now, go to news.google.com and, if you’re signed in, click on the special banner at the top of the page. If you’re not signed in, you can Sign in & Switch to change to the new experience or Take a peek to see the new version just once.
To opt out, follow the instructions below:
- Click on the gear icon in the top-right toolbar
- Go to Settings
- Uncheck the checkbox next to Start using the new Google News
Note: During the transition, some of you will automatically see the new look, but you won't be able to change back to the original version.
We’d love to hear your feedback on the new experience. Please let us know what you think on this thread, or submit feedback by selecting the question mark icon next to the search box and choose the Send feedback option.
Thanks!
Aishwarya on behalf of the Google News team
