How to switch Gemini to be your Default Assistant

Hey everyone,
Want to use Gemini as your default assistant? Here's how to switch:
Switch to Gemini
You can switch to using Gemini as your primary assistant from Google in your settings. If you haven’t previously used the Gemini mobile app before, download the Gemini app from the Google Play Store.
Turn on Gemini in the Google app
- On your Android device, open the Google app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Settings and then Google Assistant.
- Tap Digital assistants from Google and then Gemini.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Turn on Gemini in your device's Settings app
- On your Android device, open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Apps and then Assistant and then Digital assistants from Google and then Gemini.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Switch to Google Assistant
You can switch to using Google Assistant as your primary assistant on your phone or tablet in your settings. To do this:
- Open your Gemini mobile app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial, Switch to Google Assistant.
- Tap Google Assistant, Switch.
