A variety of exercises are available in the Exercise app

For Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Charge 6, Fitbit Inspire 3, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense series, Fitbit Versa series, and Google Pixel Watch series, all exercises are available in the Exercise app
. They can’t be reordered on Charge 6, Sense series, Versa series, or Google Pixel Watch series.

Charge 5, Charge 6, Inspire 3, Luxe, Sense series, Versa 3, Versa 4, and Google Pixel Watch series show your most recently used exercises in the Exercise tile and/or at the top of the Exercise app

From the Today tab
in the Fitbit app, tap devices
your device.

Tap Exercise Shortcuts and make your changes:

Tap
to add an exercise.

To remove an exercise, swipe left on a shortcut and tap Delete.

To reorder the exercises, press and hold a shortcut, and drag it up or down to change its position.

Sync your device.

On the Fitbit settings page, select your device under the Devices menu.

Click Exercise Shortcuts

Click Save.

On your device, open the Exercise app
and swipe to find an exercise. If GPS is available, an icon will appear in the top left corner while your device tries to connect.

Tap the exercise to choose it.

Select the play icon
to start the exercise, or the Flag icon
(Versa series only) to set a goal. If you set a goal, tap the play icon

Tap the middle of the screen to scroll through your real-time stats.

Tap the Pause icon
to pause or end your workout. To resume, tap the play icon

To end the workout, tap the Flag icon

Review your workout summary, and then exit the app.

To check your GPS data in the Fitbit app, select the Today tab

On your device, press the button until you get to the Exercise screen.

Tap the display to find an exercise.
-
Press and hold the button to start the exercise. If GPS is available, an icon will appear in the top left corner as your phone tries to connect.

During your workout, tap your tracker to scroll through real-time stats. An indicator next to the number of beats per minute shows your progress toward maximum heart rate.

Press the button to pause your workout. Then press it again to resume the exercise.

To end the workout, press and hold the button. A flag icon and congratulatory message will appear.

Press the button to view a summary of your results. Press it again to cycle through your stats.

Review your workout summary, and then exit the app.

To check your GPS data in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab

On your tracker, open the Exercise app
and swipe to find an exercise. Tap to select.
- Tap Start or Set Goal. If you have set an exercise goal, press the button to go back and then tap Start.
- Tap the play icon
- Tap the middle of the screen to scroll through your real-time stats.
- Press the button when you're done with your workout or just want to pause it. If you set a goal, your tracker vibrates and flashes when you reach it.
- To end the workout, press the button again and select Finish. Swipe up to view your workout summary. Tap the check mark to close the summary screen.
- To check your GPS data in the Fitbit app, select the Today tab

Tap the exercise to select it. If the exercise requires GPS, you can either wait for the signal to connect (recommended), or begin the workout and GPS will connect when a signal becomes available. Select the Play icon
to begin your workout, or swipe up to choose an exercise goal or adjust the settings.

- Swipe up to find an exercise
- Select the Play icon
to start the exercise or tap the Goal icon to set a goal. Enter your goal then select the Play icon
- If the exercise requires GPS, you can either wait for the signal to connect or begin the workout and GPS will connect when a signal becomes available. Note that GPS can take minutes to connect.
Note: Your Google Pixel Watch may auto-detect an exercise and prompt you to start an exercise. You can disable specific or all exercise auto-detect notifications in the exercise settings prompt. You may dismiss the notification, tap the crown button, or swipe right to return to the main watch face.
You can also disable the reminder by:
- Opening the Exercise app on your Google Pixel Watch.
- Tapping on an exercise.
- Tapping on the gear Settings icon.
- Enabling End workout reminders for your exercise.
- During the workout, swipe left to open media controls.
- To pause your workout, swipe right
- When you're done with your workout, swipe right
- To check your GPS data in the Fitbit app, select the Today tab

Tap the large stat to scroll through your real-time stats. To pause your workout, swipe up and tap the Pause icon

When you're done with your workout, swipe up and tap the End icon

Select Done to close the summary screen.
You might unintentionally press the button on your watch when you bend your wrist. This may happen during activities like workouts that require you to move your wrist a lot. Wear your watch higher on your wrist so you don’t accidentally hit the button. For tips on how to wear your watch, refer to How do I wear my Fitbit device?
On most devices, tap the screen to check various stats during your workout. This includes calories burned, time elapsed, and your heart rate and heart-rate zone.
On all Google Pixel Watch, Sense, and Versa series devices, you can also customize the stats shown on the screen:

Swipe through the list of workouts to find the one you want to customize.

Google Pixel Watch series: Tap the Settings icon

Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2: Tap the gear icon in the top left

Sense series, Versa 3, and Versa 4: Swipe up to have the exercise settings. In the Show stats section, tap Top, Middle, or Bottom to choose the stats you want to access.

Return to the exercise screen:

Google Pixel Watch series: Swipe right until you return to the exercise screen with the Play icon

Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2: Press the back button to return to the exercise screen.

Sense series, Versa 3, and Versa 4: Swipe down until you return to the exercise screen with the Play icon

Select the Play icon
Capture GPS data, which includes a workout intensity map that displays your pace, distance, and heart-rate zones, with built-in or connected GPS, depends on your device. Only activities where you cover physical distance outdoors, like a run, walk, hike, or bike ride, offer GPS tracking.

Receive time or distance-based updates on your Fitbit device during a workout. For the Google Pixel Watch series, open the Fitbit app and tap Exercise days to check your splits after you complete a run and sync your device.

Find Show Laps, and change the setting to Automatically.

Find Automatic Lap Settings, and choose the cue type and frequency.

In the Laps section, tap Auto count, and choose the cue type and frequency. Tap the screen to confirm your choice.

For certain Fitbit devices, if you pause during a workout such as at a traffic light activity tracking pauses automatically while you’re stationary (known as auto-pause). Your device vibrates to indicate that activity tracking is paused.
Resume your workout, and your device vibrates again when exercise tracking restarts. If your device doesn’t detect activity for 10 consecutive minutes, a message appears on your screen to check if you want to end the exercise.
Note: Exercise types that support this feature vary by device.
To turn this feature on or off:

Swipe down to find Auto-Pause, and tap to change the setting.

On your device, swipe right or left to the Exercise app

Swipe up through the exercise settings.

Tap Auto Pause to turn on the setting.

Enable the always-on screen option to prevent the screen from turning off during a workout. This function shortens your device’s battery life.

- On Sense, Versa, Versa Lite Edition, Versa 2, Versa 3, and Google Pixel Watch series, you can control the music playing on your phone or on your watch during a workout.
- On Blaze, you can control the music on your phone.
- On Charge 6, Sense 2 and Versa 4, you can control YouTube Music playing on your phone.

Start a workout on Blaze.

Press and hold the top button to check the song play on your phone and open the music controls. For more information, refer to How do I control music with my Fitbit device?
During a workout, you can use your watch or tracker's YouTube Music controls to adjust the music on your phone.
Note: YouTube Music controls require a compatible phone within Bluetooth range and a paid YouTube Music Premium subscription.

Open the YouTube Music app on your phone.

Open the Exercise app on Charge 6, Sense 2 and Versa 4 and start a workout. Swipe down to access music controls.

To return to your workout, swipe up or press the button.

Under Recents, tap a music app to control music playing on your watch or Media Controls to control music playing on your phone.

- Swipe left to open Media Controls.
- To return to your workout, swipe right.

Play music either on your phone or on your device. If you play music saved on your device, press the back button to return to the clock screen.

Open the Exercise app

Swipe down from the top of your screen. After your notifications appear, swipe down again to open the control center. Tap the Music icon

Note: You can't store music on the Versa Lite Edition.

Press the button to go back to your workout.
To automatically track swims to capture pool lengths, duration, distance, and pace, or use the Exercise app to check real-time duration and other stats varies by device.

- Under running settings, tap Goals
- Swipe to set the pace in miles and minutes.
- Open the Fitbit Exercise
- Tap Run
- Tap the stack icon

- Tap the run you want. (Distance run, Open run, Pace run, Timed run, Intervals.)
- Tap the run segment (Distance run, Open run, Pace run, Timed run, Intervals)
- Tap Current pace to set the minimum and maximum pace you want to target, or tap Heart rate to set a target heart rate zone for your workout.
- Swipe right until you return to the exercise screen with the Play icon.
