Learn how to set up and use the menstrual health tracking feature in the Fitbit app.

- If you don’t already have it, add the Menstrual health tile to the Today tab in the Fitbit app. For more information, refer to How do I add or remove the menstrual health tracking tile in the Fitbit app?
- From the Today tab
, tap the Menstrual health tile.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up menstrual health tracking. The information you provide to the series of questions asked is used to make predictions about your future period and fertile windows (for Android users). You can edit or update your information later.
- Enter the approximate date your last period started.
- Enter your average period and cycle lengths.
- Turn on notifications if you want to receive reminders on your phone about when your period is predicted to start. For more information, refer to Can the Fitbit app remind me when my period starts?
To show or hide the Menstrual health tile:
- From the Today tab

- Turn on Menstrual Health
Save.
To add a period:
To log a period in the Fitbit app, you can either go to the Today tab 
- From the Today tab
- Tap Log period.
- Add your start and end date
To update or override a period:
- From the Today tab
- Under "Periods this month," tap Update period.
- Tap the pencil icon
- Change the start and end date
To delete a period:
- From the Today tab
- Under "Periods this month," tap Update period.
- Tap the trash icon

Add the Menstrual health tile to the Fitbit Sense 2 and Fitbit Versa 4 to check your cycle or log a period from your watch.
To install the tile:
- From the Today tab
- Tap the Tiles tab.
- Tip: You can have a total of 8 tiles installed on your watch. If you already have 8 tiles installed, tap the tile you want to uninstall

- Tap the Menstrual health tile
To access the tile on your watch:
- From the clock face on your watch, swipe right or left to find the Menstrual health tile. Your current cycle is shown.
- Tap Log and follow the prompts to log your period.
- From the Today tab
- Under "Your data," tap Manage data and privacy
- Scroll and then tap Menstrual health tracking.
- You can choose to delete today's data, all menstrual health tracking data, or a custom time range.
Tip: If the delete option for menstrual health data is missing, force quit and restart the Fitbit app.
To log details:
- From the Today tab
- Under "Symptoms & cycle details," tap Add tags.
- To log details, tap them.
- Tap Save.
To edit or delete details:
- From the Today tab
- Under "Symptoms & cycle details," select the date you want to edit.
- Tap the pencil icon
- To delete all details for that day, tap the trash icon
- Tap the pencil icon
Note that logging your flow details doesn’t log a period. To log a period, refer to How do I add, edit, or delete a period in the Fitbit app?
To log positive or negative ovulation predictor kit (OPK) test results in the menstrual health tracking feature in the Fitbit app, refer to How do I log, edit, or delete menstrual cycle health details? You can log OPK test results in the Fitbit app for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones.
Tip: If your OPK provides high or peak fertility results instead of positive or negative results, log a positive OPK test result when you get a peak fertility reading.
How does a logged positive or negative test result affect my predicted period and fertile window?
When you log a positive OPK test result, your fertile window and next predicted period adjust based on your new ovulation day, which is the day after you log the positive test result.
Your future cycle predictions adjust based on the positive OPK test results you log, but past cycles don't change. If you delete a positive OPK test result in the current cycle, your predicted period and estimated fertile window predictions adjust.
If you log a negative OPK test result, your predicted period and estimated fertile window in the Fitbit app remain the same.
Why is there no estimated fertile window after I logged a positive OPK test result?
To check your estimated fertile window in the Fitbit app after you log a positive OPK test result, note the following:
- If you log more than 2 positive OPK test results in a cycle, the Fitbit app can’t provide an estimated fertile window. Note that if you log 2 positive OPK test results in a cycle, you must log them on consecutive days.
- If you log a positive OPK test result that causes your fertile window to shift to a different cycle, the Fitbit app can’t provide an estimated fertile window.

Your estimated fertile window automatically adjusts based on the menstrual cycle data you enter. You can’t edit fertile windows directly.
To turn off fertile window predictions, refer to How do I edit my menstrual health settings?

Note that the gray shading indicates a month, not a cycle.

- From the Today tab
- Tap Fitbit Settings
- Tap Start Week On and choose which day you want your weeks to begin. Your menstrual health calendar updates automatically.
If a period doesn’t meet the following requirements, you may receive an error and be unable to log the period:
- You can only add or edit current or past periods and details.
- A period must be at least one day.
- You can log a period of up to 60 days. On Windows 10 devices, the maximum is 10 days. If your period is longer, try to log your flow intensity details.
- A cycle must be at least 11 days, and there must be a gap of at least 1 day between logged periods. If you experience a gap in bleeding during your period, it’s still one period.
If you delete a confirmed period and have predictions turned on, the predicted period for that cycle remains present. For more information about the icons and colors on your menstrual health tracking calendar, refer to How do I read the menstrual health tracking calendar in the Fitbit app?
To turn off predicted periods, refer to How do I edit my menstrual health settings?
Explore your cycle trends to find your average period and cycle lengths, and average estimated ovulation days. Note that Fertile window predictions must be enabled to access your average estimated ovulation day.
To check your menstrual health trends:
- From the Today tab
- Tap a cycle to check the overview of details you logged during that month.
Tip: If the cycle spans multiple months, it takes you to the month the cycle started in. Estimated ovulation displays when cycle duration is between 20 and 90 days, and fertile window predictions are enabled.
Important:
- Cycle phases are currently available on the Fitbit Mobile app for all Android users.
- This feature is not intended to be used as a form of birth control or family planning. For contraception or conception, please consult with a qualified healthcare professional.
The menstrual health feature helps you track your cycle and identify your cycle phases. Cycle phase calculations require the Fertile window and cycle phases predictions to be turned on. If only Period predictions is turned on, you won’t get cycle phase calculations.

To turn cycle phases on:
- Go to Settings
.
- Turn on Fertile windows and cycle phases.
To turn cycle phases off:
- Go to Settings
- Turn off Fertile windows and cycle phases.
Update information about your cycle. Update period length, cycle length, and birth control method, and choose whether to show period and fertility predictions and receive notifications.
- From the Today tab
- Tap the 3 dots icon
- Adjust your menstrual health settings as needed.
Turn on period notifications to receive reminders about your upcoming predicted periods. You should receive a notification on your phone 2 days before your period starts and on the first day of your predicted period. You should also have the reminder on your Fitbit device in Fitbit Today.
Note that you must turn on period predictions to receive period notifications.

You can edit the average cycle length and period length you provided during setup. However, these settings only affect your initial predictions.
Keep the following in mind:
- Change your average period length to adjust the length of your initial period predictions. For example, if you change your average period length from 5 days to 8 days, your predictions adjust to reflect this change.
- Edit your average cycle length to adjust the length of your entire cycle. If fertility predictions are on, the predictions for your fertile window and ovulation day adjust based on the length of your cycle. To change your setup values for average cycle or period length:
- From the Today tab
- Tap the 3 dots icon
- Tap Set up values
- Confirm your changes.

If you haven't logged any periods or you aren't using predictions, the menstrual health tile doesn't have cycle information. Read the cycle ring (the outer circle) clockwise. The dot on the cycle ring shows where you are in your cycle and that you're close to your predicted period. It represents your cycle. |

To turn on period predictions or fertile windows in the Fitbit app:
- From the Today tab
- Tap the 3 dots icon
- Under "Predictions," turn on Period predictions or Fertile windows.
Tip: Period predictions must be turned on to enable fertility window predictions.

To access menstrual health information on your Fitbit device:
- Fitbit Sense 2 and Fitbit Versa 4:
- From the clock face, press the button on your watch to access a list of your installed apps.
- Open the Today app
and scroll until you find your menstrual health information.
- Other devices:
- Swipe up from the clock face and scroll until you find your menstrual health information.

If you don’t want to access period information on your Fitbit device:
- Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Charge 6, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Luxe:
- Delete all your menstrual health data in the Fitbit app. For more information, refer to How do I add, edit, or delete a period in the Fitbit app?
- Fitbit Versa, Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, and Fitbit Versa 2:
- Tap Settings at the bottom of Fitbit Today.
- Turn off Cycle Track.
- Fitbit Sense series, Fitbit Versa 3, and Fitbit Versa 4:
- Open the Today app
- Turn off Menstrual health.
- Open the Today app
Sync your Fitbit device to check your most recent information.
How do I use menstrual health features on my Pixel Watch 3?
To use this feature on your device, you must enable it on mobile by following these steps:
- In the Fitbit app, open the Today tab

.What features are available on the device?
You have the ability to log and confirm your period on your device. To check cycle phases or symptoms, go to the Fitbit mobile app.
To log your period on your device:
- Open the Today app
- Tap Log period
Manually add data from cycles you tracked outside the Fitbit app. At this time, you can’t import data from other apps. To add historical cycle information, refer to How do I add, edit, or delete a period in the Fitbit app?
