Got a message saying sim not provisioned. Can no longer get cell service

Tried restarting phone, connecting to other networks and removing and inserting the sim card but still no service

Welcome to the Google Fi Wireless community.

Try clearing your phone app's cache and data. Go to > Settings > Apps & Notifications > Phone > Storage then clear the Cache and Storage and restart your device.

Did not work for me. Have cleared cache and data yet the "No SIM" issue is still there. Customer support asked me to get a new SIM from third party (Walmart, Target, Best buy,...). Has anyone done this? Would the SIM card be from T-Mobile?

No, the SIM card should be a Google Fi SIM card not T-Mobile.

I keep having the same issue and I am really over it. I have to take my sim out, delete the FI app, restart my phone and then go through the re-adding of the app process over and over again. Sometimes that works or I have to turn off auto connect to network and manually select a network.

This must be a Bug they introduced with Android 14 update.
Never happened before and now it's been happening to me too at least 3 times.
On my Pixel 6a I have to go to the Google FI app and activate the eSIM once again.
But what if I have no WiFi to download it?

It's also alarming since the swap sims attacks symptoms are that for no reason you get no service all of a sudden and after that it's a nightmare.

So I want to know if what's happening has been brought to the attention of Google FI developers and a fix is coming.

Because this is definitely a bug!

It's not easy to get a new SIM if this happens when you're traveling or out of the country. It's a pain in the ass.

I have this issue too. haven't had working service since October 2nd and keep being told it is a known issue and their tech team is addressing it. I am in Japan with this issue, and the googlefi support team has been claiming it is a nationwide outage. somehow it is not effecting every user.

This just happened to me today. Its disheartening to hear this has been a "known issue" since October at least. Fix it, Google Fi engineers!

I just received a new sim card insert send message today January 31st. I texted through support (chat). Between the both of us trial and error for nearly 3 hours I finally resolved it I will copy and paste my chat info so that anyone who experiences the same issue on can study and hopefully resolve their own issue. So basically this issue is a refreshment of the network on their side clearing the storage and cache of the Google fee app rebooting the phone then making sure you log out of your Google fi account then log back in and continue with a completion of activation once that is done then the service should turn back on in the bars back up on top you can study the info from the chat room that I will copy and paste good luck everyone.

Now, I would request you to please turn on airplane mode for 15 seconds and then turn off airplane mode.
Once you turn off airplane mode, please check if you are able to see signal bars on your device with Google Fi.

I received a message stating that my activation is not fully completed
Discussion card has always been working and it's giving me an option to order another can I receive one ASAP can you order one for me Rush delivery?
It's strange it's SIM card has always worked since I installed it years ago
I just ordered another sim card but I doubt that it will work my current card always worked until I believe yesterday someone else in the community stated the same
