Block app install ads

This information is for AdMob users only. AdMob is a mobile app advertising platform for app developers.

Where you can control your ad experience: If you were hoping to find information about managing and updating what information Google uses to show you ads, then we recommend you:

AdMob offers various controls to review and block ads in your apps. These include category, advertiser URL, app install ads, and several other settings. Blocking controls may be applied to a single app or to your entire AdMob account. This article explains how you can prevent app install ads (also known as "click-to-download" ads) and app re-engagement ads for specific apps from showing up by using blocking controls.

On this page

Note: Blocking app install ads is only available for the Google Play and App store, and this filter doesn't apply to other types of ads, such as click-to-web ads or click-to-app ads via third-party tracking URLs.
The maximum number of apps you can block is 500 for all of your apps and your account.

For example, if you block 5 apps at the account level, and an additional 50 at the app level, then you've blocked 55 of your 500 limit.
