When you export data from Vault, you can choose to store the export file in a specific geographic location. Administrators who are using data region policies can select this option for any users with supported edition licenses.
When you begin an export, Vault preselects the data region based on the region assigned to the owner of the matter. You can select one of the following options:
- No preference
- United States
- Europe
Your choice might increase the amount of time it takes for Vault to process your export. We recommend you check with relevant personnel to see if your organization has specific data region requirements before continuing.
