Asset Search Tips and Tricks

The Asset search in the YouTube Content Manager System (CMS) is a very useful tool for filtering down to a specific subset of your assets when you need to find specific information. It is possible to get even more out of the Asset search using two methods: advanced filtering and search modifiers.

Advanced Filtering in Asset Search
To access the advanced filtering options, click on the “advanced” link shown below. This will expand a box with many different options for sorting your Asset search results.

Search Modifiers

CMS Asset search supports a variety of keywords that can search specific asset metadata fields. These can be used in the asset search field. These are used as <keyword>:<search term>.

For example, to locate an asset from the show “myshow” from season 2:
show_title:myshow season_nb:2
