YouTube Partner Rewards FAQs

Who qualifies?
Any YouTube channel that has passed a certain subscription threshold qualifies for the rewards.

What are the thresholds?
We have two levels of rewards: channels with over 1 million subscribers, and channels with over 100,000 subscribers.

When does a channel qualify?
A channel only needs to pass the threshold once to qualify. Please note that rewards will be given out to newly qualified channels several times a year. If your channel has passed the threshold recently and you have not heard from us please be patient as your channel may be included in potential next rounds of reward distributions if it has met all the qualifying criteria.

What are the rewards?
We are recognizing those channels with over 100,000 subscribers with a gift certificate of US$500 along with a custom designed DSLR camera case. (Channels outside the U.S. will receive an additional 20% value on the gift card amount to compensate for overseas shipping and tariff.) For channels with over 1 millions subscribers, we are recognizing them with a limited edition, commemorative Gold Play Button plaque. You can see the reward designs here.

How long will it take for my rewards to arrive?
Once you have uploaded your email address in the rewards redemption website, the rewards can take eight to twelve weeks for processing and shipping, depending on your location.

YouTube Partner Rewards is available in which countries?
Countries where creators will be eligible for rewards, include Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Are there other qualification criteria?
We want to recognize those channels who have honestly earned the achievement. To avoid any channel from gaming the system with falsely inflated subscribers count, we do have a secondary qualification metric. A channel must sustain at least 2500 views per day for 90 days prior to the reward cut off date to qualify.

My channel's subscriber count has already surpassed the threshold. Why didn’t I get a reward?
Here are two possible solutions on why your channel may not have actually qualified: (1) your channel’s subscriber count passed the threshold after the closing date as noted above; or (2) your channel did not meet the secondary qualification metric as stated above.

Will additional rewards be given in the future?
We intend to administer the program on a quarterly basis and rewards will be given out to newly qualified channels several times a year.

Can my channel get the same reward more than once?
If your channel had already received a reward for a certain milestones in the last round, it won’t be eligible to receive the reward for that milestone again. For example, if your channel had already received the gift card and the camera case from the last round (e.g., passing 100k subscribers), you won’t be receiving those rewards again. You can, however, look forward to receiving rewards for the next big milestone (e.g., 1M subscribers).

Where can I use the gift card?
If you’re in the US, we will be sending you the physical B&H Photo gift card by mail once you have entered your shipping address in the rewards redemption website. If you are outside of the US, we will provide you with a virtual gift card code directly in the rewards redemption website

When I try to enter the redemption site, it’s saying that it is not affiliated with Google and is asking me to sign in with my Google account. Is this legit?
The redemption site is administered by a third party that helps us manage the logistics to fulfill all the rewards. To enter this third party site, you will need to uses your Google account to sign in. Yes, it is legit.
