Troubleshoot YouTube Create upload errors

If you're having problems with exporting or uploading your YouTube Create video, try these troubleshooting steps to solve the issue.

YouTube Create is available on Android phones that have at least 4G RAM. This app may be available on other devices in the future.

Export and loading issues

YouTube Create video export is unsuccessful

Devices have different abilities to handle complex projects. You may experience export issues because your device is a max capacity of what it can handle.

Try to remove:

• Video layers, particularly ones that are overlapping (for example, anywhere in a project where you’re stacking lots of layers on top of each other)
• Stickers
• Effects
• Transitions

Reduce export quality:

• If you’re exporting at 1080p, try 720p

Failed exports are a known issue, and will be improved over time.

To submit feedback and screenshots:

1. In the top-right corner of the YouTube Create app, tap your profile picture .
2. Tap Send feedback.

Issues with music or stickers not loading

A poor network connection can cause long load times for features like music and stickers. Try to load the features again when you have a stronger network connection.

Publishing issues

Can’t upload a video to YouTube from YouTube Create

First, check that you have a strong network signal.

Verify that you have the YouTube app downloaded. The YouTube app must be downloaded on the same Android “profile” as YouTube Create. Otherwise, you can’t complete the publishing process.

Make sure that you’re logged in with the same account across YouTube Create and the YouTube app.

Want to publish YouTube Create video on a different channel

A YouTube Create video will automatically be associated with the same channel that you’re signed in to on the YouTube Create app. Once you start the process of publishing, you can’t switch channels.

To fix:

1. Open the YouTube app .
2. Tap Create  Upload a video.
3. Choose your YouTube Create video that was saved to your device.

OR

1. Sign in to your desired account that’s associated with your channel. Create your project there (projects in YouTube Create are associated with your account).

App deletion issues

Losing videos due to app deletion

Before deleting the YouTube Create app or switching to a new device, you must export any videos to your device’s photo gallery.

If you delete the app from your phone or get a new phone, any existing projects will be lost.
