From time to time, Google may send important notifications to the email address associated with your Google Account.
Not all messages Google sends are urgent. Some issues (for example, malware on your site) do need your immediate attention, but others do not. You can choose whether Google forwards messages to your email or phone, or specify that only certain types of messages are forwarded.
Change your message forwarding preferences:
- On the Webmaster Tools home page, click Preferences.
- Select the options you want, and then click Save.
