Add a Gift Card

To add a gift card to the Wallet app, tap 'Gift cards' from the home screen of the app.

In the Google Wallet app, you’ll see your gift card displayed, along with the merchant’s contact information in the card details page. Your gift card activation code is hidden for security reasons.

If you’d like to check the balance on a gift card, contact the merchant directly.

Troubleshooting Tips

• Make sure that your enter your gift card number exactly how it's shown on your physical card. Google Wallet will still accept an incorrect number, however it will not work when you try to use it.
• Check that your gift card isn't expired.
• Gift cards require a NFC-enabled device with a Secure Element chip.
