In some cases, we may change the category of your listing if we find that it's a better fit in a different category.
To find the best category for your listings, use the following steps:
- See which category other users have posted similar items in.
- Be specific while searching for similar items.
Categories are fixed and cannot be created. If you feel that your item does not fit any of the existing categories, you can post it in General. You cannot post your item in more than one category.
Here is a list of the current categories on Google Trader and examples of items you can post in each category. This is not an exhaustive list and is only indicative of the kind of items you can post.
- Agriculture: Agricultural products, produce, fertilizer, seeds, seedlings, livestock, farm products.
- Appliances: Electrical appliances, kitchen equipment, household appliances, power generators, machinery.
- Books & Media: Books and Media, CDs, DVDs, games, magazines.
- Cars & Vehicles: Used and new cars, motorcycles, trucks, tractors and other vehicles.
- Clothes & Fashion: Ladies clothes, mens clothes, infant and children's clothes shoes, fashion accessories, beauty products.
- Computers: Laptops, desktop computers, monitors, printers, hard drives and other computer peripherals.
- Electronics: Electronics, photo cameras, game consoles, TVs, DVD players, Home Theaters, Audio and Video equipment.
- Furniture & Home: Chairs, tables, sofas, curtains.
- Building Material: Doors, gates, hardware, woodwork, materials for the house.
- Housing: Apartments, houses, office space, land plots, rooms, holiday accommodation.
- Jobs: Post or find a Job or employment opportunity.
- Phones: New and used mobile phones.
- Services: Post and find any services such as translation services, plumbing services, creation of websites etc .
- Wanted: Find what people are looking for or post what you want.
- General: Anything that doesn’t fit in the above categories.
