Aligning blocks to images with obstructed corners

Sometimes the corners of a building in an image are partially obstructed by something else such a tree or other building. You can use a line constraint to constrain a block to a building when a corner of the building is obstructed. Line constraints allow you to adjust line location instead of corner location. To use a line constraint:
  1. Position a block on a building. Refer to Creating a one-block building for further information. The following image shows a block constrained at four points:

Note: Notice that three of the front-most points are hidden behind a tree.
  2. Press and hold the Shift key.
  3. Hover the cursor over a line. The cursor changes to an arrow with a hollow circle on Microsoft Windows () or arrow with a solid circle on Mac OS X ().
  4. Click on the line. A line constraint is created. The following image shows a block with a line constraint:

  5. Adjust the line to the image:
    1. Move the cursor over the line constraint. The cursor changes to a cross () .
    2. Click-and-hold the left mouse button. The point is attached to the cursor.
    3. Move the cursor. The line moves with the cursor.
    4. Position the line over one of the building's edges, such as the lower-left edge.
    5. Release the mouse button. The line constraint is constrained.
