SketchUp Advanced Camera Tools: Repositioning an ACT camera

Repositioning an Advanced Camera Tools camera

SketchUp creates a small camera model at the location where you create the camera. You can reposition the physical ACT camera model at any time using SketchUp's Move and Rotate tools.

Note: Physically repositioning the camera model is different than manipulating the camera using standard camera movements such a pan, tilt, truck, or dolly. Refer to Moving and aiming the camera for further information.

To move an ACT camera:

  1. Select the ACT camera model. The model is selected. Notice that there is a large bounding box around the model. This bounding box contains the model and all of its frustrum geometry (hidden by default). Refer to Showing or hiding ACT camera's frustrums or Showing or hiding ACT camera's safe zones for further information.
  2. Move the camera model. Note that the precise eye point of any camera is the center of its lense.
