DFA In-Stream Video is a trafficking format in DFA. A creative agency doesn't have to be involved in the creative build unless the companion banner is being built as Rich Media.

Media agency

  • Enters In-Stream Video placements in DFA Trafficking or enters placements in a media planning tool and imports them into DFA Trafficking
  • Builds In-Stream Video creative by uploading video and companion banner assets into DFA Trafficking
  • Trafficks In-Stream Video tags to sites

Rich Media campaign manager

  • Provides training and support for the In-Stream Video format if needed
  • Can help media agency collect site specs
  • Can help media agency transcode video files over 100 MB into FLVs

DoubleClick sales

  • Can introduce the In-Stream Video format and its capabilities to media agencies

Creative agency (optional)

  • Can build a Rich Media In-page creative with DoubleClick Studio, using the creative as a companion banner

    DoubleClick Studio creatives aren't needed when the companion banner is built as standard Flash or still image.

Publisher

  • Provides site specs to media agency for any site-specific requirements
  • Receives tags from the media agency and adds them in their site's video player
  • When possible, provides a test page to the media agency to show that an In-Stream Video creative is displaying correctly in a live environment

DoubleClick publisher relations (optional)

  • Can help certify publishers as VAST 2.0 compliant
