Formerly the Postini Current Status page, this page now provides a list of known issues, fixed issues, and system maintenances for Postini Services. For the current status and important updates on critical system issues that may be affecting Postini, please see the Apps Status Dashboard. Please note: Due to high volume, we're unable to answer email about our known issues. [Completed] Upcoming System Maintenance for all Postini systems: April 11, 2013 9:00PM-11:00PM PDT
Update April 12, 2003: This maintenance has been completed.
On April 11, 2013, from 9:00PM-11:00PM PDT, Google engineers will be updating web and TLS certificates across all Postini systems. Secondary data centers will not be enabled for this maintenance event, and no interruption in Admin Console or Message Center access is expected.
[RESOLVED] April 12, 2013: Message delays on Postini System 9 due to "421 server busy - psmtp" deferrals
Apr 12 2013, 05:16 PM PDT - We expect that some customers could continue to experience delays until early Saturday morning. We will be providing an official Google incident report next week.
Apr 12 2013, 02:03 PM PDT - We are seeing elevated deferrals on Postini system 9 with the SMTP response "421 server busy - psmtp". Messages sent through Postini system 9 outbound may be affected by this issue. This will also affect internal mail for Google Apps customers who use Postini system 9 as their outbound gateway.
Postini engineers are investigating this issue with a very high priority. We do not have an ETA for resolution at this time.
[RESOLVED] April 13, 2013: Unspooling issues on System 8
April 13, 2013: The unspooling issue on Postini System 8 has been resolved. If you have messages in the spool which do not appear to be unspooling, please ensure that your Spool Manager settings are set to either Automatic, or Manual with "Start Unspooling" started. We apologize for the inconvenience that this issue has caused. April 9, 2013: We are currently experiencing an issue with unspooling on Postini System 8. Some of the messages that were spooled up until April 9 have not unspooled, or have unspooled very slowly, even when the receiving mail server is available again. Postini engineers are working to resolve this issue. If you believe you may be affected by this issue, use the Log Search tab to search for messages in the last week that have been spooled but have not been delivered from the spool. A message which has been delivered from the spool will show two records in the Log Search tab (one for the message being spooled, and the second for the message being delivered from spool), while a message that has not been delivered from spool will only have one record in the Log Search tab showing the message was spooled. If you have messages in the spool which do not appear to be unspooling, please ensure that your Spool Manager settings are set to either Automatic, or Manual with "Start Unspooling" started. The mail will not unspool immediately, but it will unspool eventually. Postini engineers continue to work around the clock to release the spooled mail. We apologize for the inconvenience that this issue has caused.
In rare cases spooling will not initiate
We are currently experiencing an issue on Postini Systems which causes messages to be not spooled eventhough the mail server is not accessible. Postini engineers are working to resolve this issue.
Workaround: For the time being we request you to manually turn on spooling using the procedure below
1. Open Spool Manager for the affected email config.
2. Set Spooling Mechanism to start manually and click Submit.
Once the mail server is accessible again you can set the spooling mechanism to be automatic
