Set users' language and time zone

When you enable language localization, static text in the Quarantine Summary, along with the default top text, will display in the chosen language. These language settings will also affect your users’ default Message Center language.

You can change the language and encoding of the quarantine summary, and also control the character set and date format with this setting. This setting is configured for organizations that contain users.
  1. Go to Orgs & Users > Orgs, and click the org that contains your users.

  2. Scroll down and click General Settings.

  3. On the General Settings page, scroll down to the time zone and language settings. Choose your users’ time zone (which affects when the Quarantine Summary is sent), language, and default character encoding.

The Quarantine Summary text is available in a number of languages. The Message Center supports a subset of these languages.

    Feature Supported Languages
Quarantine Summary Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian
Message Center II English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish
    Message Center Classic English
Tip: Users can override their organization’s language for the Message Center if they have permissions to change their regional settings in the Message Center. For more information, refer to the topic “Control What Users Can View and Modify” in the Email Security Service Administration Guide.
