Videos restart when the Google News homepage refreshes
We've chosen to serve the most updated news content by refreshing the page frequently, and acknowledge the tradeoff of disrupting the video playback. If you double-click on the video, you can watch it uninterrupted directly on YouTube.com. Status: Our engineering team is not currently prioritizing this issue, but is tracking reports from users.
Redirect notices
URLs with non-standard URL encoding are being accessed via redirect notifications.
I don't get any news articles about my location
We may have difficulty displaying the relevant news about the location you're interested in. As you know, we're constantly looking to improve our coverage. If you have a local website that you're unable to find in Google News, please let us know. Status: Our engineering team is not currently prioritizing this issue, but is tracking reports from users.
Zipcode brings up wrong location in my Local section
If you're trying to create a custom section based on your zipcode, Google News may display inaccurate locations. Please report the zipcode for which you're experiencing issues. Status: Our engineering team is not currently prioritizing this issue, but is tracking reports from users.
I enter my location, but the articles provided are about another location
In some cases, we aren't able to generate accurate results with the data you provide. Please try using a combination of at least two of the following fields: city, state, or country. Status: Please try the workaround above in order to improve the quality of results for your Local section.
I can't keep specific keywords from showing up in my custom section
Our current structure for creating a custom section may not allow you to restrict your search query by using the [-] operator. Status: Our engineering team is looking into adding this and other expanded search options for Google News Custom Sections in the future.
I can't restrict the articles in my custom section to a specific site
Our current structure for creating a custom section may not allow you to restrict your search query for articles from a single news site by using the [site:] operator.
