Sites included in Google News Alerts

In order for a site to be included in Google News Alerts the site needs to be included in Google News. To see if the site is already included, use our "site:" operator from the Google News homepage. Simply type [site:url.com] into the search box. For example, to search for articles from CNN, you'd type [site:cnn.com] into the search box

Additionally, for an article to appear in Google News Alerts it must be in the top ten Google News results for a particular search term (the term that triggers the email alert).

If you'd like to recommend a news site for Google News which isn't currently appearing in search results, let us know and we'll be happy to review it for inclusion. Please note, Google News is run by a computer algorithm and uses no human editors. Our system uses many factors when determining the ranking of articles.
