Google Maps gives you the ability to save driving, walking, and biking directions using Custom Maps. This makes it easy to refer back to previous routes or share them with others. Additionally, you can access these stored routes from your phone with the Google Maps Android application.
To save a route:- Click Get Directions in the left panel.
- Enter your start and end points and choose either a driving, walking or biking route using the icons at the top. Note that it's not currently possible to save public transit routes.
- Click Get Directions.
- Once the route is displayed, scroll to the bottom of the left panel and select Save to My Maps.
- A drop-down menu will appear which will allow you to save the route to an existing custom map, or create a new one

Accessing saved routes on your mobile device
If you have an Android-powered device, you can access stored directions in custom maps right from your mobile phone by clicking on the layers icon in the upper toolbar and selecting your saved Custom Map.
If you don’t have an Android phone, you can open your custom maps using your phone’s browser and visiting maps.google.com.
