You can choose to block or allow apps with ads for your child in Google Kids Space.
Your child may find ads in their Google Kids Space apps and videos. Apps in Google Kids Space have to follow regulatory laws and Google policies. Learn more about Google Play Families Policy.
When you remove recommendations for apps with ads, you may get apps that are already installed unless you block them. You can review and block apps with ads during device setup or through Family Link. When you block apps with ads, it takes away from the total apps available.

Turn off apps with ads & in-app purchases
- On your device, open the Family Link app .
- Select your child.
- Tap Controls Content restrictions.
- Tap Google Kids Space Apps with ads and in-app purchases.
- To hide apps with ads or in-app purchases:
- Turn on Hide recommended apps with ads.
- Turn on Hide recommended apps with in-app purchases.
Tip: You won’t find your in-app purchases until you turn off the hide function.
