Navigation (Beta) Privacy

Google does not collect any personally-identifiable information while you use Google Maps Navigation (Beta). We do not record routes, but as with other Google Maps for mobile usage, we collect anonymous samples of speed and location for use in features like traffic crowdsourcing.

When you request driving directions or search the map, your query is sent to Google as a standard directions request, and it is not associated with your personal identity in any way. Learn how to disable your network location.
