Users with a work or school Google Account can use Gemini if their Workspace administrator has enabled access.
Gemini features and availability are different for users with a work or school account with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on. Important: To use Gemini with a work or school account, you must be 18 or over.
How you can access Gemini with your work or school account depends on the Google Workspace license that your organization has.
- Accessing Gemini with a work or school account with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on: If your administrator has enabled access for your work or school account with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on:
- You will have access to Gemini Advanced features in gemini.google.com in the languages and countries where Gemini Advanced is available.
- Your use of Gemini will be subject to the Google Workspace Terms. Your chats with Gemini won’t be used to train generative machine-learning technologies.
- Accessing Gemini with a work or school account without the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on: If your administrator has enabled access for your work or school account to use Gemini without the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on:
- You will have access to standard Gemini Apps features in the languages and countries where the Gemini web app is available.
- You will be subject to the Gemini Apps Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
Gemini activity for users with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on
Important: The info below is for users with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on. If you don’t have an account with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on, learn how to manage & delete your Gemini Apps activity.
Manage & delete Gemini activity
For users with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on, Gemini Activity is on and can’t be turned off. You can change your auto-delete settings and delete your Gemini activity.

If you’ve used Gemini with your work or school account previously and have Gemini Activity turned off, your Gemini Activity will be turned on when you use Gemini with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on. The first time you sign in with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on, if Gemini indicates that your history is off, refresh your web page. Your Gemini Activity will be turned on and your conversation history will be retained for 18 months by default.
- If you delete a chat in pinned and recent chats, it also deletes the related activity from Gemini Activity. If data in Gemini Activity is deleted, then the activity won't appear in recent and pinned chats.
Find your Gemini activity
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity .
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
Delete your Gemini activity
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity .
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
- Choose the Gemini activity you want to delete. You can choose:
- All your Gemini activity: Above your activity, click Delete All time.
- The last hour or day: Above your activity, click Delete Last hour or Last day.
- A specific time period: Above your activity, click Delete Custom range.
- A specific day: Next to the day, click Delete all activity from [day] .
- A specific activity: Next to the activity, click Delete activity item .
Change Auto-delete settings
By default, your Gemini activity older than 18 months is auto-deleted. You can turn off Auto-delete or change the auto-delete period to 3 or 36 months.
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Click Activity .
- Near the top, click Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
