The Lenoir City Fire Department is using Google Earth to locate our fire hydrants. We are now able to enter an address and have Google Earth bring up the hydrants in the area. This is still a work in progress, because we are putting the amount each hydrant will flow. We are also working on putting the preplans of the buildings on Google Earth. This program may someday save a life. And that makes this program a valuable asset to us at Lenoir Fire Department.
