When you add the Google Drive widget to your lock screen, you're able to open Drive on your iPhone or iPad without the need to unlock it first.
Important:
• This feature is only available for iPhone on iOS 16 or higher.
• Widgets can be only created for Google apps that are already installed on your iOS device.
Add and configure a lock screen widget
Important: For the lock screen widget to display in the gallery, the Drive app must be installed.
- To pull up Customisation mode, press and hold the lock screen.
- Select Customise.
- Tap the lock screen Add Widgets.
- Scroll to the Drive widget.
- Tap the Drive widget.
- Drag the widget to the shortcut bar under the clock.
- Once the Drive widget is in the bar, tap it to pull up configurations.
- Select your preferred configuration Done Set as wallpaper pair.
- To end customisation, tap the lock screen until you're out of Customisation mode.
Customise a Drive lock screen widget
- Unlock the lock screen with FaceID.
- To pull up Customisation mode, press and hold the lock screen.
- Select Customise.
- Tap existing Drive widget in the widget bar to pull up the lock screen widget gallery.
- To pull up configurations, tap the widget again.
- Select your preferred configuration.
- To close the widget gallery, select X Done.
- To end customisation, tap the lock screen until you're out of Customisation mode.
