The prerequisite for having a DFP Small Business account is a valid Google AdSense account. If you don’t have a Google AdSense account already, you can simply sign up to one here:

Good to know:
Your Google AdSense account is only required to set up your DFP Small Business account. You are not required to actively use Google AdSense.

If you have a Google AdSense account already, signing up to DFP Small Business is like a walk in the park. If you don’t already have a DFP account, it will automatically be created once you sign in.

  1. Visit http://www.google.com/dfp/signin.

  2. Sign up for a DFP Small Business account with your Google AdSense login details. Your DFP Small Business account is permanently linked to your Google AdSense account, so if you have more than one Google AdSense account, make sure you sign up for DFP Small Business using the right sign in information.

  3. Click Sign in.

DFP Small Business offers a complete toolkit to manage your ads, including:

  • One central place to traffic all of your ad networks

  • Advanced forecasting to give you a better sense of how many impressions you will have available to sell to your direct advertisers

  • Total revenue optimization by allowing Google AdSense to compete against other networks in real-time, you'll get the most revenue for every ad impression.

Before you start doing anything in your new DFP Small Business account, make sure that the your DFP Small Business account is set to the correct time zone and currency. Once you have created your first order you will no longer be able to change those settings.

  1. In DFP Small Business, click the Admin tab on the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. Check the time zone and currency settings.
  3. If the settings are not correct and you are unable to change them on your own, please reach out to the us through our Contact Us form.

    The Help Center covers most of the questions you might have, so this should be your first stop for any questions.
     
  • Forum
    Other publishers may have had the same questions as you have, so the forum is a great place to learn from their experience.
     
  • DFP Small Business video tutorials
    Watch a variety of tutorials that introduce you to different concepts such as ad serving, inventory, tagging, trafficking, targeting, and reporting.
     
  • Tooltips
    Hovering over the questions marks () in your DFP Small Business account will give you a short explanation as to what a specific term means or how to use a certain feature.
     
  • Help Center widget
    On the bottom left corner in your DFP Small Business account you will always find a number of suggested Help Center articles relevant to whatever you are doing in your account at that stage.
Good to know: Start by using DFP Small Business on a few of your web pages to learn the basics and to get your head around it. Once you feel comfortable using it, expand your usage to the rest of your pages.
