Ad units

View your website's ad units

To see how your site's inventory has been defined by ad units and view which line items are forecasted to deliver to them:

  1. In your DoubleClick for Publishers account, click the Inventory tab, then click Ad units on the left-hand panel.

You can also use the search box to search for ad units.

  2. If an ad unit contains ad units at the next inventory level, click it to see a list of them.

  3. Click an ad unit. The following information is displayed:

    • Name: The name of the ad unit as defined by the DoubleClick for Publishers administrator.

    • Status: Indicates whether the ad unit is active, inactive, or archived.

    • Description: A description of the ad unit as defined by the DoubleClick for Publishers administrator.

    • Sizes: Sizes of creatives that can be used in the ad unit.

    • Target window: Where the ad unit's landing page will open (either in the full body of the current window or in a new window).

    • Special ad unit: Indicates whether the ad unit must be explicitly targeted. (Learn more about special ad units.)

    • Placements: Shows the number of placements that include the ad unit.

    • AdSense inventory settings: Indicates whether the ad unit has been enabled for AdSense inventory-level dynamic allocation.

  4. Click the Line items tab to view line items that are forecasted to deliver to this ad unit in the next 30 days. In order for a line item to be displayed, it needs to satisfy the following conditions:

    • The line item must be reserving inventory (including paused with inventory reserved).

    • Forecasting must have sufficient historical data, ideally 28 days of it, to make its prediction. Learn more

    • Forecasting must predict delivery for the line item. For example, if one 100-weight sponsorship ad is booked to the ad unit during the next 30 days, no other line items are displayed because none can deliver.

    • This screen also displays remnant line items that fulfill the above requirements, unlike regular forecasts, which ignore remnant line items.
