Overview: Change Password Notifier for Microsoft Entra ID

 For administrators who manage ChromeOS devices for a business or school.

You can use Change Password Notifier (CPN) for Microsoft Entra ID to support the synchronization of your users' ChromeOS passwords with their Microsoft Entra ID passwords.

Whenever a user's Microsoft Entra ID password is changed, CPN for Microsoft Entra ID immediately notifies ChromeOS about this change, and triggers an online sign in, if SAML single sign-on password synchronization is activated. 

Note: CPN for Microsoft Entra ID does not sync the users’ password to Google. If you want to sync passwords, use Password Sync instead. For details, see Sync passwords with Active Directory. If you are using Active Directory instead of Microsoft Entra ID, use CPN for AD.
